Dance Technician's Team of Professionals

Melissa Kidd

Owner

Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the dance industry as an instructor, studio owner, choreographer, judge, and consultant for school and collegiate teams.

Melissa has always had a deep interest in the mechanics of the body after dealing with some anatomical irregularities herself that impacted her dancing. She eventually pursued certifications in Pilates, strength training and aerial yoga. This journey made her recognize the need for cross training and injury prevention for dancers and she launched Dance Technician in 2023. She continues to split her time judging, choreographing, and teaching in studios to keep her finger on the pulse of the ever-changing industry and to bring the best practices back to her clients at DT!
