Director of Online Training
With over a decade of experience in the dance industry as a choreography, judge, and instructor Kiley has always had a passion for injury prevention and proper body mechanics.
Her passion for health and the human body led her to become a paramedic. Through this path, her studies in anatomy, physiology and emergency medical procedures created a deep desire to pass on this knowledge to young dancers and help them create healthy practices.
Kiley is the director of online training at Dance Technician and oversees the collaboration of our PTs and instructors to create the most comprehensive and personalized training for our clients.
Physical Therapist
Dr. Crawford earned a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Miami (FL) and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Ohio State University. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) as well as the Ohio Physical Therapy Association (OPTA). She is the founder of Wave Physical Therapy in Cincinnati.
Dr. Crawford brings over 10 years of experience as Physical Therapist in addition to healthcare administration.
Dr. Crawford is Dance Technician's preferred and consulting physical therapist. Under her direction at Wave Physical Therapy dancers have endless resources at their fingertips including dry needling, cupping, orthopedic therapy, spine therapy and more! Her creative and unique approach to wellness falls right in line with our core mission at Dance Technician.

Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. Lei completed her PM&R residency and Sports Medicine fellowship training at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree (D.O.) from Touro University California and a B.A. in Biology and History of Science, Medicine, and Technology from Johns Hopkins University.
Being a dancer herself Dr. Lei's passion lies in sports medicine and dance/performing arts medicine. Because of her dance background she is able to really tune into the needs of dancers and how their health impacts their ability to do what they love.
Dr. Lei is Dance Technician's consulting/preferred doctor and shares our passion for keeping dancers healthy and in the studio doing what they love!
Substitute Trainer
Julia has spent her entire life dancing all genres and went on to dance for Purdue University for 4 years. During her time at Purdue, she performed in Dublin and had many other amazing performance opportunities.
Julia is currently dancing her second year for the Cincinnati Ben-Gals.
Julia's extensive dance background and love for all things health and fitness make her a perfect fit for Dance Technician. She brings an incredible amount of experience with her as a currently performing professional dancer.
Julia is certified on all apparatuses and continues to strength train and train in Pilates herself as a support to her current dance journey.

Owner
Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the dance industry as an instructor, studio owner, choreographer, judge, and consultant for school and collegiate teams.
Melissa has always had a deep interest in the mechanics of the body after dealing with some anatomical irregularities herself that impacted her dancing. She eventually pursued certifications in Pilates, strength training and aerial yoga. This journey made her recognize the need for cross training and injury prevention for dancers and she launched Dance Technician in 2023. She continues to split her time judging, choreographing, and teaching in studios to keep her finger on the pulse of the ever-changing industry and to bring the best practices back to her clients at DT!

Trainer & Nutritionist
Jordan is a former Division 1 heptathlete and lifelong dancer turned performance coach, passionate about helping dancers build strength, recsilience, and confidence both on and off the stage. With a degree in Exercise Science (NKU) and a Masters in Nutrition (University of Cincinnati) Jordan specializes in injury prevention core and pelvic floor health, and personalized performance training. Her coaching blends scince backed methods, functional movement and individualized support to help dancers feel strong, nourished and ready to perform at their peak.
Jordan began her dance journey at 2 years old under the direction of Melissa and continued for over a decade as a competitive dancer finishing out her career at Northern Cincinnati Youth Ballet. She stays closely connected to the dance world through choreographing for local studios, and of course, dancing around the house with her baby boy!
Trainer
Kaitlin, a former competitive dancer and lifelong athlete, has her masters in Occupational Therapy (OT) from Saint Louis University and group fitness certification from the American Council of Exercise.
She practiced OT for nearly ten years helping people of all ages overcome challenges completing everyday activities. OTs design interventions that are unique and meaningful to help clients reach goals. She made the decision to stay home more with her three young children and started to teach group fitness classes out of her passion for healthy living. Teaching group fitness reawakened that inner dancer. When she learned about Dance Technician she couldn’t believe how well it combined all her passions into one: OT, fitness, and dancing.
